A little over a year ago, I took the giving pledge. I’m confident to put a small portion of my income in the hands of GiveWell, and I don’t regret it. In fact, as they use “Effective Altruism” principles to make sure money gets to the most effective charities first, I have ‘statistically’ helped save an entire human life this year.
